Cd-r Not Reading


Messing about with the innards on CD and similar drives is not for the casual handyman, and you can easily ruin a drive very quickly. Any idea why my computer is not reading these discs? The money he required was not acceptable for fixing what I thought should be repaired for free. Most drives will have a list of recommended media. I noticed that my DVD Rom passed the test but it was reading as a CD Rom, not a DVD Rom. I am running XP Pro SP3. What was the problem that led to to re-install WinXP? look at this site
