When you restart the laptop, the webcam should be found as "new hardware" and the proper drivers reinstalled.
But when I want to use is with my msn(8.0.1) it say unable to start cam I went to tools Audio & Video settings,it gives an error un able to run Most are either that the device is not really Vista compatible or that the drivers are incorrect. messenger service is subject to the yahoo! No errors in the device manager and you can see it if you do the local configuration? I've unistalle deverything 4 times and reinstalled..still no luck..any suggestions? The only thing that I thought of was a power problem, but with a webcam that is not likely as they do not comsume much power (unlike external USB hard disks). Also check the firewall you are using, in some cases they block the MSN ports (see earlier comments).
