If your 7 is on a non-touch screen PC then I'd be inclined to stay with 7 until you replace the PC or until something happens to 7 that Microsoft does at least to my knowledge. Update history shows no change in applied updates and it goes without saying Windows Update is on Advise but don't download or install ..... So the problem is not fixed. If you install KB 3050265 or newer WU Client KB's, and do not want to upgrade to Windows X, follow Microsoft's method described here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3050265  in order to disable OS 10 Upgrade. Do you mean that you installed W7 on a machine on which Vista was previously installed?
